Is a student allowed to miss the first day of class?

We highly recommend that students do not miss their first day of class.

In the event that a student is unable to attend the first class, it is important to note that this will be recorded as an absence and can have an impact on their lab grades and overall course hours. To make up for missed material, students have the option to schedule a makeup class for a fee. For further information and assistance, students can reach out to their Student Advisor.
