## Preparation for potentially difficult situation and setting them up for success

### Describe the positive/expected behavior

“Sylvia, I have some feedback to share with you, and I'd like us to discuss it constructively. When we talk, please maintain eye contact, stay composed, refrain from arguing. Please actively listen, and let's engage in a positive conversation.”
