Purpose
Defines the process for managing internal CPR classes including scheduling, roster management, and issuing certification eCards.
Scope
Applies to staff responsible for coordinating CPR classes, managing student rosters, and issuing certifications through AHA systems.
Trigger
- CPR class scheduled internally
Process Overview
Pre-Class Setup
- Determine monthly CPR class schedule
- Coordinate instructor assignments
- Create class in Enrollware with:
- Course: Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Instructor and location
- Class time (AM or PM)
- Add students to roster (3 weeks prior)
- Ensure instructor-to-student ratio compliance
- Generate and send student list to instructor
Post-Class Processing
- Collect required materials:
- Completed roster
- Exam answer sheets
- Course evaluations
- Update student statuses in Enrollware:
- Complete (passed)
- Cancelled (no show)
- Purchase BLS Provider eCards
- Assign eCards via AHA Atlas system
- Ensure correct student information (name and email)
Finalize Class
- Upload all documentation to Enrollware
- Finalize class roster
- Store eCard reference information
Correcting eCards
- Access AHA Atlas system
- Search for student record
- Edit incorrect name or email
- Save changes and resend updated card
Key Rules
- All students must be added before class
- Ensure accurate student information for certification
- Maintain required instructor-to-student ratios
- All documentation must be uploaded before finalization
Completion Criteria
- Class created and students added
- Student statuses updated
- eCards issued successfully
- Class finalized with all documentation uploaded
