Answer: All MAS (Medical Assistant) students are expected to complete their externship hours by the end of Week 16 of their program. Week 17 is reserved for final paperwork, exit interviews, and certificate processing. If you are unable to finish your externship by Week 16 due to a documented circumstance (illness, site delay, family emergency, etc.), you may request an externship extension through your Academic Advisor before the deadline. Extensions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.
