After 2 years of clinical experience with my RDA, I’ll be eligible to get my CDA. How do I get it?
A general overview of obtaining your CDA
To obtain the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential, you will need to meet the education and/or experience prerequisites established by the Dental Assistant National Board (DANB) and pass the DANB CDA Exam, which includes the Radiation Health and Safety (RSH), Infection Control (ICE), and General Chairside (GC) components. You must also be currently CPR-certified and maintain your CDA credential by meeting DANB requirements. Information about the CDA Exam and requirements can be found on the DANB website.
