Is there work outside of class required?
A general overview of classwork in our programs
All of our programs have some type of work outside of the classroom. In addition to homework, students also are required to complete an externship
- All Programs - The externship component must be completed outside of class hours for successful program completion. Students must acknowledge their commitment to fulfilling the externship hours before enrolling by signing enrollment agreements. Ensure that other obligations such as work, childcare, etc. won't conflict before enrolling.
- Note that the externship must be finished before graduation.
- Hybrid Dental - Weekday activities in the student portal can take between 5-10 hours, varying depending on each student's pace of completing activities and learning modules. In-person class time at the dental office will solely focus on practicing lab skills.
- 24-Week Medical Assistant School - Weekly homework assignments are a requirement of these programs, to be completed prior to class. To reinforce in-class learning, students will need to allocate time for reading and studying during the week.
