What are students required to submit to be admitted into class?

A general overview of the required admissions documents

  • A valid government-issued ID (driver’s license, passport, ID card, etc.)
  • High school diploma, GED, proof of US high school equivalency
    • North Carolina requires a full transcript to be submitted
      • A high school diploma is not accepted in the state of North Carolina.
    • If a student has a foreign diploma, we must receive an evaluation of the foreign diploma that is, at minimum, equivalent of a US High School Diploma.
      • You can get evaluations of your diploma/transcript through Spantran
    • In some states, we may accept a Wonderlic assessment in lieu of the diploma requirement.
  • Current Immunization Record with the following immunizations:
    • Hepatitis B series, Varicella (chickenpox), MMR, and TDaP.
    • Medical students require the above items PLUS a flu shot, and a negative PPD skin test for TB (both performed within the last 12 months.)
    • If a TB test is positive, they will need to have a chest X-Ray and a blood test to confirm the skin test was incorrect and that the disease is not actively present. We cannot accept a student that has an active TB infection.
