A general explanation of our attendance policy
Our programs have different attendance policies depending on the length of the program. They are separated by 9 weeks, 12 weeks, and 24 weeks. They are explained in more detail in the course catalogs and can be downloaded on the school's website. Students should be aware that we do not recognize 'excused' versus 'unexcused' absences.
- 12-Week Program - Students are permitted to miss up to three days without penalty.
- 24-Week Program - Students are permitted to miss up to two full days.
- i.e. 4 half-day sessions (16 clock hours) without penalty.
Students will receive a grade of 0 on labs they missed while out. Students have an opportunity to make up one lab day’s worth of grades in the make-up class. When a student exceeds the allotted absences, the student may be dropped from the program. If you are worried about this, reach out to your Student Advisor as soon as possible.
